general synoptic situation:

A low 1000 over the Gulf of Bothnia moves toward central Finland.

A trough moves from Jutland to Estonia and forms there an 

seconary low 999 on Friday morning, which moves to Karelia while 

deepening. Another trough swings from Jutland eastward on Friday.

A high 1025 over western France weakens. A ridge extending 

towards the Black Sea weakens. A low 985 southwest of Iceland 

moves towards the Shetland Islands while weakening.
