general synoptic situation:

A deep low 967 over the Barents Sea is moving slowly 

north-eastwards whilst weakening. A high-pressure system 1021 

over Romania is weakening. A ridge is sweeping north-eastwards 

from southern Sweden. A low-pressure system 1008 over northern 

France is moving towards southern Sweden whilst deepening. A 

ridge of the Azores High 1031 extends to Iceland and, whilst 

weakening, is sweeping across the British Isles towards the North

Sea.

increasing about 6.
