An extensive low 998 in western Russia with a trough 

towards eastern Ukraine weakens. An extensive high 1033 

over the British Isles remains stationary. A broad ridge 

towards the Balkans remains stationary. Another ridge 

towards the Lofoten Islands swings south-eastwards towards 

Sweden and weakens somewhat.
