A low 1009 over northeast Germany weakens. A high 1026 

near the Lofoten Islands moves slightly westwards. A ridge 

extends towards Scotland and weakens. A low 1005 west of 

Ireland deepens slightly and slowly moves northwards. By 

Wednesday evening, a low pressure zone forms from this low 

over northern Germany to western Russia.
