general synoptic situation:

A high 1029 Moscow area extends with a bridge of high pressure 

1023 across the Batlitc States to a high 1028 Czech Republic. The

high-pressure area moves to east. A deep low 948 northeast of 

Iceland moves to the northern Norwegian Sea and weakens. Its wavy

cold front travels across the North Sea. A secondary low 1013 

Ireland moves towards southern Sweden, deepening. A high 1024 

central North Atlantic arrives close west of Ireland by Friday 

and intensifies.
