general synoptic situation:

A low 998 over central Sweden changes hardly. A low 997 

north-west of Scotland moves to the Irish Sea and weakens. A 

secondary low 999 moves from the eastern part of the North Sea 

across southern Sweden and will reach the Baltic Sea south of the

Aland Islands as a low on its own. A ridge of the Azores High to 

the Alps weakens
