general synoptic situation:

A high 1041 over Russia moves towards Kazakhstan. A ridge 

southern Norway shifts to Lapland while weakening. A low 989 

Viking moves northwards towards the Norwegian Sea while 

weakening. A trough swings slowly from Hungary to the Northern 

Baltic Sea. A ridge 1025 of the Azores High extending to the Alps

is increasingly developing into an independent high which will 

move to the western Ukraine while slightly weakening. From 

Thursday evening, a storm 974 will move from the Celtic Sea 

across the English Channel towards Benelux.
