general synoptic situation:

A low 986 close to the north of the Aaland Islands is 

moving to Lake Ladoga, temporarily deepening slightly. A 

weakening low 994 over the northern part of the North Sea 

is moving towards southern Sweden. A low 993 southeast of 

Cape Farvel is moving towards the sea area south of 

Iceland while deepening. A high 1021 over the Alps will 

weaken somewhat at times. On Wednesday, a ridge will 

extend to the northern part of the North Sea. At the same 

time, a thundery low 1008 will develop over northern 

France.
