general synoptic situation:

A high 1031 northwestern Russia to Balkan States moves with its 

northern portion to east. A bridge of high pressure extends 

across the Alps to the Azores high 1034. A deep low 973 Irminger 

Sea moves to close north of Iceland. A secondary low 999 

northeast Shetlands moves to north. Another low 1006 central 

Sweden develops on early Thursday and moves to Lapland 

afterwards. A wave 1001 ca. 400 nautical miles west-southwest of 

Ireland moves to Cornwall.
