general synoptic situation:

A low 1001 over the White Sea is filling up. A 

high-pressure bridge between a high 1021 over southeastern 

Europe and a high 1013 over the Norwegian Sea is 

strengthening slightly while moving northeastward. 

Ex-Hurricane Erin 985 in the sea area between Iceland and 

Ireland is moving towards the west coast of Scotland, 

temporarily weakening. On Thursday afternoon, a secondary 

low 1002 forms over the Czech Republic and moves 

northwards over western Poland towards Gotland while 

deepening.
