general synoptic situation:

A low 1002 over the White Sea is filling up. A 

high-pressure bridge between a high 1021 over eastern 

Ukraine and a high 1013 over the Norwegian Sea is 

strengthening slightly while moving northeastward. 

Ex-Hurricane Erin 985 in the sea area between Iceland and 

Ireland is moving towards the west coast of Scotland, 

temporarily weakening. On Thursday afternoon, a secondary 

low 1002 forms over the Czech Republic and moves 

northwards over western Poland towards Gotland while 

deepening. Thursday evening, another secondary low 994 

forms over the western English Channel and moves 

eastwards.
