general synoptic situation:

A high-pressure bridge between a high 1023 over 

southwestern Russia and a high 1013 over the Norwegian Sea 

is strengthening slightly while moving northeastward. 

Ex-Hurricane "Erin" 984 north of Ireland is moving slowly 

towards the west coast of Scotland while weakening 

slightly. On Thursday afternoon, a secondary low 1004 

forms over the Czech Republic and moves northwards over 

western Poland towards Gotland while deepening. On Friday 

night another secondary low 997 forms over the western 

English Channel and moves eastwards.
