general synoptic situation:

A high 1035 Belarus weakens. Another high 1037 Gulf of Bothnia is

moving towards St Petersburg while intensifying. An severe storm 

low 952 north west of Ireland will initially deepen slightly and 

then move toward Iceland Wednesday evening while weakening. A 

trough extending to northwestern Germany remains stationary. A 

high 1025 Azores moves slowly eastwards, a ridge extends to the 

Alps.
