general synoptic situation:

A low 994 over eastern Belarus is moving towards Latvia while 

weakening. Another low 999 over western Germany is filling up 

while moving southeastward. A high 1031 over Lapland is sightly 

weakening. A ridge extending to the northern North Sea is 

spreading towards France and will form a high-pressure zone with 

a high 1032 southwest of the Iberian Peninsula. A deep low 992 

far south of Cape Farewell is slowly moving towards the Hebrides 

while deepening.
