general synoptic situation:

A low 991 over northern Belarus moves to the Moscow are while 

weakening. A deep low 981 south of the Gulf of Lions moves 

towards Sicily while weakening. A ridge of the Azores high 1033 

extends to the sea area west of Ireland, swings eastwards and 

will extend across eastern Germany to the Baltic States on Sunday

morning. A small-scale stationary low 1002 west of Svinoy slowly 

fills up.
