general synoptic situation:

A low 1000 north of the Lofoten Islands moves to 

northwest Russia. A low 1015 in the Stockholm area moves 

towards Belarus while deepening. A trough reaches the 

Skagerrak and moves south from Wednesday. On Wednesday 

evening, a new low 1016 will form over southern Norway. A 

high 1028 Faroe Islands intensifies. A ridge extends to 

Poland and moves to the UK. Beforehand, a weakening low 

1011 moves westwards from the western part of the Bay of 

Biscay.
