general synoptic situation:

A deep low 993 over the central North Sea is moving towards the 

German Bight while weakening and will fill up there on Thursday. 

A ridge of the Azores high 1034 extending to the Alps, is 

retreating to the Iberian Peninsula. A high 1018 over Poland is 

moving to the Gulf of Finland where it will be absorbed into a 

high 1030 over Lapland. On Thursday evening, a deep low 982 will 

reach the English Channel.

wind: south to southwest 6 to 7, later variable directions 3 to 

6.

visibility/weather: rain or snow with very poor visibility.

Southwestern North Sea:

wind: west to northwest 5 to 6.
