general synoptic situation:	

A deep low 1000 in the Stockholm area is moving eastwards across 

the Baltic States while weakening slightly. The associated 

frontal system and a following shallow trough are passing 

eastwards across the Baltic Sea. A high 1032 far to the west of 

the Bay of Biscay is moving towards the Celtic Sea. A ridge 

extending to southeastern Europe is intensifying slightly. 

Another ridge is shifting from the southern part of the Norwegian

Sea towards Denmark while weakening.
