general synoptic situation:	

A low Northern Baltic Sea moves eastward toward the Gulf of 

Finland while weakening. A high 1031 northwest of the Bay of 

Biscay moves slightly northeastward while weakening slightly, a 

ridge shifts from southern Norway toward the Baltic States while 

weakening. A low 1001 north of Iceland moves toward the Norwegian

Sea while deepening, an associated trough will swing eastward 

across the North Sea toward the western Baltic Sea from Saturday.

A ridge of the first-mentioned high will slowly follow from the 

British Isles during the night into Sunday.
