general synoptic situation:	

A high 1031 over the German Bight is moving to Poland. A ridge 

builds towards Norway and Sweden. A low 993 northern Sweden is 

moving towards western Russia while weakening. A low 973 off the 

southeast coast of Greenland is weakening. On Thursday morning, a

trough extends from the Faroe Islands to the western 

Mediterranean. Subsequently, the ridge of the Azores high 1036 

swings toward the British Isles.
