general synoptic situation:	

A low 999 Central Sweden travels across the Northern Baltic Sea 

to east and fills later. An associated trough extending to the 

Kattegat moves across the southern portions of the Baltic Sea in 

the meantime. Afterwards a high 1022 western Bay of Biscay moves 

to southern Poland. A ridge pointing to Forties swings to the 

Stockholm area until early Friday. Simultaneously, a front of a 

low 978 Iceland arrives at the North Sea and travels eastbound.
