general synoptic situation:	

Between a weakening high 1054 over Kazakhstan and the Azores high

1032, a broad bridge of high pressure extends over southern 

Europe. An extensive deep low 962 southeast of Iceland moves to 

the sea area northeast of Iceland, temporarily deepening. An 

associated frontal system extends across the North Sea and will 

reach the Baltic States on Thursday evening while weakening. 

Another frontal system will spread from the British Isles to the 

North Sea on Thursday afternoon.
