low 986 close south of Iceland moves to the southern part of the 

Irminger Sea while weakening. Its troughs are affecting the 

English Channel and the North Sea. A ridge of the Azores high 

1026 extends to the Alps. A deep low 983 around 400 nautical 

miles west of Ireland moves to the east coast of Scotland.
