general synoptic situation:	

A low 1003 southeast of the Moscow area is slowly moving 

eastwards. A high 1031 located between the Faroe Islands and the 

Shetland Islands is weakening slightly. A broad ridge extending 

towards southeastern Europe will be temporarily weakening 

slightly. Several small-scale lows 1014 are situated over France 

and the Iberian Peninsula. A low 1011 west of the Bay of Biscay 

is weakening somewhat.
