general synoptic situation:	

A high 1029 lying centred between the Faroe Islands and the 

Shetland Islands is weakening slightly. A broad ridge extending 

towards southeastern Europe will be intensifying somewhat. 

Several small-scale lows 1014 situated over France and the 

Iberian Peninsula are gradually weakening. A low 1011 west of the

Bay of Biscay is slowly weakening.
