general synoptic situation:	

A low 996 southeast of the Moscow area moves northeastward. A 

ridge of the Azores high 1034 extends over France to southern 

Sweden. This swings eastward while weakening and will form an 

independent high 1020 over the Baltic States on Sunday afternoon.

This will subsequently weaken. A deep low 967 southwest of 

Iceland moves towards Ireland while weakening. On Monday morning,

a secondary low 986 will form east of Scotland.
