general synoptic situation:	

A 1029 near the Shetland Islands is weakening, another high 1026 

south-southwest of Iceland is intensifying. A broad ridge 

extending towards southeastern Europe will be weakening later on.

Another ridge extending towards Lapland will build towards the 

Barents Sea and shift southwards on Thursday. Low pressure 1014 

over France will gradually extend its influence to western 

Germany on Thursday.
