general synoptic situation:	

A 1028 near the Shetland Islands is weakening, another high 1027 

south-southwest of Iceland is intensifying. A broad ridge 

extending towards southeastern Europe is weakening. Another ridge

extending towards Lapland will build towards the Barents Sea. 

This ridge will shift southwards on Thursday and form a high 1022

over western Russia on Friday. Low pressure 1014 over France will

gradually extend its influence Germany.
