general synoptic situation:	

A high 1020 Baltic States with a connected ridge 1010 Italy is 

slowly shifting east. Two lows 980 and 983 Norwegian Sea are 

merging into a major storm 968 west of the Lofoten. A deep 

depression 980 Irminger-Sea fills while heading towards westcoast

of Ireland. A secondary low 988 across Scotland weakens slightly 

while moving southeast to the German Bight. Tuesday morning, a 

high 1017 will establish close west of the Hebrides.

East Frisian coast: 

wind: southeast about 6, shifting west, decreasing 3 to 4.

visibility/weather: at times very poor visibility, moderate snow.



Elbe estuary:

wind: southeast 6 to 7, shifting southwest to west, decreasing

snow.

Helgoland:
