A high 1034 over the Barents Sea is moving southeastwards. A 

ridge extends across the Baltic States and the Alps to a high 

1027 over southern France, which is strengthening as it moves 

northeastward. A low 1014 over the Gulf of Bothnia is moving 

towards the Barents Sea. A low 999 northwest of Ireland is moving

northeastwards while weakening. Its trough is swinging 

northeastward from the German Bight.
