general synoptic situation:	

A high 1029 over western Russia moves eastward and forming a 

bridge of high pressure to a weakening high 1032 over southern 

France. A low 995 over central Finland moves to the Kola 

Peninsula. An associated trough moves from the southeastern 

Baltic Sea across the Baltic States to the east. An extensive 

deep low 971 south of the Irminger Sea moves to the sea area 

between Iceland and Scotland, weakening. An associated trough 

extending to the North Sea moves across Denmark to the Baltic 

States by Monday morning.
