general synoptic situation:	

A low 1002 Karelia moves toward northwestern Russia while 

deepening. Several shallow troughs swing south-eastward from 

southern Norway across the Baltic Sea. An extended high 1032 

German Bight will move toward central Germany from Monday evening

while weakening slightly. A ridge 1030 Ireland is increasingly 

developing into an independent high while moving slightly 

northwestward.
