general synoptic situation:	

A low-pressure system of 1013 Belarus is moving towards the 

Caucasus. A high-pressure system of 1025 southern Germany is 

forming a bridge to a high-pressure system of 1025 Lapland. This 

high-pressure area is moving eastward and strengthening, 

extending from northern Russia to the Balkans on Thursday 

morning. A deep low of 973 east of Iceland is moving 

northeastward. A secondary low 996 far west of Ireland is moving 

towards the Faroe Islands.
