general synoptic situation:	

A low 1013 over the Black Sea is moving southward. A high 1026 

over Austria is forming a ridge to a high 1027 over Lapland. This

high-pressure area is moving eastward and intensifying, extending

from western Russia to the Balkans on Thursday morning. A deep 

low 974 will reach the sea area south of Iceland on Thursday 

morning. A secondary low 1001 is temporarily forming near the 

Faroe Islands.
