general synoptic situation:	

A high 1032 over western Russia to the Balkan States is moving 

eastwards with its northern part. A bridge of high pressure is 

extending across the Alps to the Azores high 1032. A deep low 971

southwest of Iceland is moving northeastwards across Iceland, 

weakening. A secondary low 994 northeast of the Shetlands is 

moving northwards. In the evening, a secondary low 999 will 

develop over the Gulf of Bothnia, which will move to central 

Finland while weakening. On Friday morning, another secondary low

1006 will form southwest of Cornwall, which will move to the 

western part of the English Channel by Friday evening.
