general synoptic situation:

A high 1015 Tatra with a ridge pointing to Gotland moves 

eastwards and weakens. A low 989 between Iceland and the Faroe 

Islands moves slowly northwards and weakens. Its wavy frontal 

system swings eastwards from the eastern part of the North Sea 

and reaches the Baltic States on Saturday evening. At the same 

time, a secondary low 1008 forms over the Oslo Fjord and a high 

1023 reaches the sea area southwest of Ireland.
