general synoptic situation:	

A high 1019 central Sweden to Lapland intensifies. A low 1002 

Belarus fills. Meanwhile, a low 989 Gulf of Lion moves to 

northern Balkan States, while weakening. A deep low 967 

north-west of Ireland moves west. An associated front becomes 

stationary over the North Sea and weakens. West of Ireland a new 

deep low 970 arrives from the North Atlantic by Thursday noon.
