general synoptic situation:	

An extensive high 1037 over Russia, with a ridge extending toward

the Baltic States is not changing significantly. A deep low 979 

in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea is moving toward the 

Norwegian coast while weakening. A high 1030 over France is 

moving toward Germany. On Thursday evening, a ridge will extend 

to the southern part of the Norwegian Sea. On Friday morning, a 

low is building over the Gulf of Bothnia.

wind: first westerly winds 3 to 4, otherwise light and variable 

winds.

Elbe estuary:

wind: first west to southwest about 4, otherwise light and

Helgoland:

wind: first westerly winds 3 to 4, otherwise light and variable 

winds.
