general synoptic situation:

A deep low 968 west of Haltenbank is moving westward over the 

North Cape toward the Barents Sea, gradually weakening. A 

secondary low 998 over northern England is moving towards the 

Skagerrak, temporarily deepening. A ridge connecting a high 1030 

west of the Azores with a high 1030 over Kazakhstan is weakening.

The front of a deep low 954 southwest of Iceland will reach 

Ireland on Sunday afternoon.
