general synoptic situation:

An extensive high over Kazakhstan extends a ridge to the Alps 

which will be temporarily weakening somewhat. A deep low 973 off 

the coast of western Norway is moving towards the Barents Sea 

while weakening. A secondary low 996 over eastern England is 

moving towards the Skagerrak, temporarily deepening. On Sunday, a

ridge of the Azores high 1030 will build to France. The frontal 

system of an extensive deep low 952 southwest of Iceland will 

reach Ireland on Sunday afternoon.
