general synoptic situation:	

A low 1005 Lofoten Islands moves to the St. Petersburg area while

weakening. It will fill during the night to Saturday. A trough 

extending tow the southeastern Baltic Sea weakens. A high 1031 

over Germany shifts its center to the West Frisian Islands. An 

associated ridge swings from Jan Mayen to Karelia. Another ridge,

directed towards England, strengthens. A low 1012 over the Black 

Sea moves to Ukraine.
