general synoptic situation



valid until Tuesday:

<br> On Sunday, locally strong to gale-force winds from 

the northeast over the Alboran Sea and Palos. In addition, 

over the Aegean Sea and the neighboring sea areas in the 

south Meltemi, which blows mainly strong to gale-force 

from the north, especially between Crete and the southwest 

coast of Turkey. Storm gusts (9 Bft) cannot be ruled out. 

The wind will generally ease from Monday night onwards. In 

addition, isolated thunderstorms may occur initially in 

the eastern Taurus area. Otherwise, thunderstorms will 

occur mainly in the western Mediterranean in the next few 

days, associated with heavy rain, hail, and storm gusts. 

On Monday, thunderstorms may occur at times over the 

southern part of the Ionian Sea.
