general synoptic situation



valid until Monday:

<br> On Saturday over the western and northern 

Mediterranean Sea, from the Alboran Sea to the Ligurian 

Sea and towards the northern Adriatic Sea, some 

thunderstorms, partly with gale force squalls and heavy 

rain. On Sunday over the western part of the Mediterranean 

Sea locally near gale force winds (7 Bft) from southwest 

or south, over the Adriatic Sea locally winds of 7 Bft 

from southeast. Over the western and northern 

Mediterranean Sea some thunderstorms, partly with gale 

force squalls and heavy rain. On Monday over the 

northwestern Mediterranean Sea increasing Mistral, later 

locally northwesterly or northerly winds of 7 or 8 Bft 

with storm force gusts and locally very rough sea. Over 

the Adriatic Sea, later also over the eastern Ionian Sea 

and the Aegean Sea locally winds of 7 Bft from southerly 

directions. Over the western, northern, and central 

portions of the Mediterranean Sea thunderstorms, partly 

with storm force squalls and heavy rain.
