general synoptic situation

<br> On Monday, increasingly strong to gale-force winds 

from the west to northwest are expected over the Gulf of 

Lion, the southern part of the Ligurian Sea, west of 

Corsica and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Locally, heavy storm gusts 

are possible. While the wind will gradually decrease from 

the west on Tuesday, the wind conditions described above 

will first affect the southern part of the Adriatic Sea 

and the Ionian Sea, and from Tuesday noon also the Aegean 

Sea and Taurus. On Wednesday, the wind will then gradually 

decrease over the Aegean Sea and Taurus. In association 

with the wind, very rough seas of 4 to 5 m must be 

expected in some areas. In addition, thunderstorms may 

occur on Monday, initially isolated over the Aegean Sea, 

later mainly over the northern part of the central 

Mediterranean. Severe thunderstorms cannot be completely 

ruled out. On Tuesday, the emphasis of the thunderstorms 

will shift via the Aegean Sea to Taurus. On Wednesday, 

thunderstorm activity over the eastern Mediterranean will
