general synoptic situation



valid until Monday:

<br> Today, gale-force winds and gusts of up to 9 Bft 

from the southeast at times in the Gulf of Lion. Easing in 

the night to Sunday. In addition, gale-force winds and 

gusts of up to 9 Bft from the southwest to west in 

Alboran, Palos and south of the Balearic Islands. While 

the wind in the areas of Palos and south of the Balearic 

Islands will ease on Sunday night, gale-force winds and 

occasional gusts of up to 9 Bft may still occur at times 

over the Alboran Sea until Sunday evening. The wind will 

generally ease on Monday. In addition, isolated 

thunderstorms in association with storm gusts cannot be 

ruled out, especially in the Ligurian Sea and later also 

in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
