general synoptic situation



valid until Monday:

<br> Today, south of Crete locally strong westerly winds, 

partly gale gusts possible. Tomorrow, strong northerly 

winds in the western parts of the Gulf of Lion, with 

chance of isolated gale gusts. Until Sunday evening partly 

severe thunderstorms in the Aegean Sea and West Taurus, 

today also remaining thunderstorms in the Ionic Sea and 

southern Tyrrhenian Sea around Sicily. Tonight and 

tomorrow, additional thunderstorms in the Eastern Taurus. 

Tomorrow during the day partly severe thunderstorms 

expanding from Palos to the Balearic Islands, on Monday in 

Southern Ligurian Sea and expanding southwest.
