<br> Today and over the next few days, the Meltemi will 

blow from the Aegean Sea to the coast of north-eastern 

Libya, reaching near-gale force speeds. Severe gusts (Bft 

10) are possible locally. Wave heights of up to 4 m are 

expected. Strong to near-gale force northerly to 

north-easterly winds are also expected locally in the Gulf 

of Lions and around the Balearic Islands tomorrow. On 

Friday, the wind will decrease again. Severe thunderstorms 

with heavy rain, hail and gale-force gusts may occur today 

and over the next few days, particularly in the Gulf of 

Lions, the Balearic Islands, the Aegean Sea and the Taurus 

region. Please pay attention to local warnings.
