general synoptic situation



valid until Saturday:

<br> On Thursday, west of Corse and leeward of the Strait 

of Bonifacio in the Tyrrhenian Sea as well as in the Gulf 

of Lion and the Ligurian Sea locally strong winds (Bft 7) 

from Northwest to West, locally with storm gusts (Bft 10). 

Friday and Saturday gale winds from West to Northwest (Bft 

8) in the area from the Balearic Islands to Corse, in the 

Gulf of Lion and the Ligurian Sea, especially around Corse 

partly strong gale winds (Bft 9); there locally violent 

storm gusts (Bft 11) possible and corresponding 

significant sea of up to 5 meters. Saturday increasing 

thunderstorm activity in the northern Adriatic Sea, 

shifting southeast during the day towards the northern 

Ionian Sea. Isolated thunderstorm possible in the 

Tyrrhenian Sea on Saturday as well. Please pay attention 

to local warnings as well.
