<br> On Friday over the central and eastern Mediterranean 

Sea locally near gale force winds (7 Bft) or gale (8 Bft) 

with storm force gusts (10 Bft). Over the western 

Mediterranean Sea widespread near gale force winds or gale 

with storm force gusts, locally intense gale (9 Bft) and 

gusts 11 Bft. From the western to the eastern 

Mediterranean Sea widespread very rough sea with 

significant wave heights between 4 and 6 m, locally high 

sea with wave heights exceeding 6 m. From the western to 

the eastern Mediterranean Sea locally thunderstorms, 

partly severe thunderstorms. On Saturday over the eastern 

and central portions of the Mediterranean Sea in some 

areas near gale force winds, locally gale force winds with 

storm force gusts. Over the western Mediterranean Sea 

widespread near gale force winds, locally gale or intense 

gale with gusts 11 Bft, later over the northwestern 

Mediterranean Sea storm from northwest (Mistral) with 

gusts 12 Bft! Initially, in some parts of the eastern 

Mediterranean Sea very rough sea, in the central 

Mediterranean Sea locally very rough sea. In the western 

Mediterranean Sea widespread very rough sea, locally high 

sea with significant wave heights exceeding 6 m, later in 

the northwestern Mediterranean Sea very high sea with 

significant wave heights about 10 m. From the western to 

the eastern Mediterranean Sea locally thunderstorms, 

partly severe thunderstorms. On Sunday from the western to 

the eastern Mediterranean Sea in some areas near gale 

force winds, locally gale with gusts 10 or 11 Bft, 

initially over the northwestern Mediterranean Sea storm 

from northwesterly directions (Mistral) with gusts 12 Bft. 

Around the Aegean Sea locally very rough sea. From the 

western Mediterranean Sea expanding to the sea area south 

of Sicily widespread very rough sea, locally high sea with 

significant wave heights exceeding 6 m. At first, west of 

Corsica and Sardinia significant wave heights about 10 m, 

gradually decreasing. From the western Mediterranean Sea 

to the western part of the eastern Mediterranean Sea 

locally thunderstorms, partly severe thunderstorms.
